Basic vanilla cake recipe is not basic!

Just a quick tip for the baker that has a very favorite, comes out right every time, moist and delicious vanilla cake recipe. You can change the recipe a quick and simple way by just adding a box of instant pudding mix to the recipe. There are several flavors now, from milk chocolate, dark chocolate, french vanilla, lemon to butterscotch. It makes the cake even moister and doesn't alter the stability of the recipe. Just remember to use the instant, not the kind that needs to be cooked on the stove top. You may have to add an extra 5 minutes to the bake time.
